On February 29th of 2020, the Book Bears partnered with the Brea Library in order to hold an event called “Be The Author/Illustrator”. At this event, club volunteers worked with kids in order to help them create their own books. 

 

During the month of January and February, our club members were hard at work, making as many book templates as we could before heading to the library. Because of the hard work of our club members, kind hearts of our volunteers, and hospitality of the Brea Library, we were able to have a successful event that left kids smiling proudly at their new creations. We hope this event inspired them to continue to tell their stories and spark a love of reading.
