CO-Presidents

Daisy Noh

Daisy is an optimistic, creative, pun-loving junior currently attending the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) in the Integrated Arts conservatory She enjoys learning and is always looking for new opportunities to try something new. Being an ambivert, Daisy loves spending time with family and friends while also dedicating time for being creative. It was her love of books that fueled her love of writing, which is exactly why she wanted to start Book Bears. Outside of Book Bears, she hosts/produces a podcast called The Bright-Eyed and is a Public Relations Coordinator for a nonprofit called Girls for Business.

Isabelle Tran

Isabelle is a determined, people-loving student at Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) in the Visual Arts conservatory. Filling the role of leadership positions and volunteering, she is passionate about art, science, and community service. She likes to keep up a portfolio of fine arts and illustration. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys reading, coding, animating, studying anatomy, and listening to TED-Ed talks. Her curiosity toward listening to different voices and perspectives, in addition to reading, led her to co-start the Book Bears club.

Avery Mizrahi

Chief Operating Officer

This is Avery Mizrahi, a freshman in the Integrated Arts conservatory at OCSA. She is incredibly excited to be a part of the Book Bears team because of her desire to make the community a better place and her passion for reading. She strives to make sure all kids have the resources they need to become interested in reading and learning. She believes spreading literacy in the community is incredibly important, and affects the lives of each and every student.

Jamie Lee

Director of Public Relations

Jamie Lee is a student at the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) in the Instrumental Music conservatory. With a passion for both STEM and the arts, she dedicates a lot of her time to teaching young kids. In her free time, she likes to play the flute, bake, and go on walks. She has been an avid reader since she was young, and with her love of teaching kids, she decided to join the Book Bears board. Through Book Bears, Jamie hopes to share her passion of reading to younger children.

Caleb Yang

Editor in Chief

Caleb Yang is a Junior at the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA). His hobbies include gaming with friends, computer programming, and playing music. He is an out-of-the-box thinker, and enjoys challenging his problem-solving ability. As Editor in Chief, he is responsible for managing the Book Bears Blog. Caleb is excited to touch children's lives and promote literacy because he believes it is the foundation of a successful future for anyone.

Emma han

Director of Marketing

Emma Han is a junior at Orange County School of the Arts in the Visual Arts Conservatory. She has a passion for journalism and the arts and is a dedicated hard worker. In her free time, she enjoys baking with her sister, bullet journaling, and surfing Pinterest. From a young age, she has been ardent about reading, and with her interest in marketing and advertising, she decided to join Book Bears as Director of Marketing! Through Book Bears, Emma hopes to help promote literacy to the younger generation and remove the negative stigma around reading.

Marina is a 9th grader at OCSA in the Integrated Arts conservatory. She loves reading, my dog, my friends & family, and animals. She is a vegetarian and aspires to be a zoologist/marine biologist. She joined Book Bears to spread her love for books and reading.

Riley Cummings is a Projects Coordinator for the Book Bears! She lives in Long Beach, California with her big family and the cutest dogs. She loves hiking, reading, film, and acting.

Nicole Dave is a Junior at the Orange County School of the arts in the Integrated arts conservatory who hopes to one day serve society as a social entrepreneur. Aside from a passion for dance and art, Nicole is devoted to helping children and young girls grow and reach their dreams. She is a Board member of Girls with Goals, NHS, SHH, and a project manager for Book Bears. She is currently working on developing a college guidance program called Girls with Guidance with Girls with Goals.

Amanda Agredano is a freshman at Orange County School of the Arts. She absolutely loves musical theatre and enjoy performing. She has been dancing since she was 6 and performing since the age of 5! She is all for giving back to the community and is so excited to be able to contribute to all of the hard work Book Bears does in promoting youth literacy!

Sophia Nguyen is currently a sophomore at Quincy High School. In her free time she enjoys baking, going on outdoor, excursions and scrapbooking. Her love of working with children and reading was what led her to join Book Bears. She is so excited to be a part of the team!

Terra Skaar is a freshman at OCSA and is most excited about being a part of the impact Book Bears has on local communities. Her main interests include cooking, robotics, and gardening whenever she's not building things for her conservatory!

Projects Coordinator

Alyson Hsiu is currently a junior at Brea Olinda High School. She is a part of her school’s water polo and swim team as well as the student athletic training team. In her spare time, she enjoys re-reading her favorite books, binging new shows on Netflix, and spending time with family and friends.

Elisa Hodgson is a freshman at Millikan. She loves reading, playing soccer, baking, drawing/painting, and traveling. Some fun facts about herself are that her favorite animal is a Panda, her favorite color is periwinkle, she prefers cold weather over warm weather, and she loves anything Marvel or Disney. Some aspirations she has for the future are to hopefully publish her own children’s book, start a small business and travel the world. She is one of the Public Relations Coordinators, and is so excited to be a part of the Book Bears Team!

Sruthi Alle is a sixteen-year-old junior at the Orange County School of the Arts in the Classical Voice program. She is an ISTP who enjoys all forms of art. She has been in multiple district, regional, and national honor choirs including one at Carnegie Hall. Sruthi is also a Performing Art editor for the Junebug Journal.

Public Relations Coordinator

Yaya Spitzer-Tilchin is so excited to be joining the Book Bears team as a staff writer! She is a junior at the Orange County School of the Arts in the musical theater conservatory and has been attending OCSA since the seventh grade. In her free time, she loves baking, reading, and playing her ukulele. She’s passionate about giving back to the community, and about social justice advocacy!

Emmalee lives in Buena Park CA. Reading and writing are her two passions in the world. She is excited to be a part of Book Bears as a Staff Writer because reading is something she truly cares about and believes that reading is so important, especially to kids.

Elena Levin is a junior at the Orange County School of the Arts in the Integrated Arts Conservatory. Some of her favorites include journalism, travel, baking, films, fashion, dogs, and books of course! She looks forward to continuing to spread literacy to the younger generations while being able to share her love for reading and writing with the community.

Staff Writer

Stephanie is a junior at the Orange County School of the Arts, where she studies Visual Arts. She is thrilled to be a graphic designer for Book Bears! Outside of school, she enjoys baking, reading, and drinking coffee.

Hannah Wong Nakata is a junior at OCSA for Production and Design, and she is on the marketing team as a graphic designer! Her favorite hobby is snowboarding. A fun fact about her is that she has a pet bird. She is excited to create designs that will draw people in and is looking forward to being a part of all the creative and incredible opportunities Book Bears has to offer!

Josh Nguyen is a junior attending Orange County School of the Arts, and a content producer for Book Bears. He spends a lot of my time creating digital art and practicing graphic design as well as working on films, but in his free time, he enjoys playing video games, scuba diving, and camping. Josh tries his best to work hard, produce content he's proud of, never stops improving, and gets inexplicably hyped!

Eric Zhu is a junior at Orange County School of the Arts in the Film and Television conservatory. He is passionate in both the STEM fields as well as filmmaking. During his free time, he enjoys playing the piano as well as practicing kung fu. He takes pleasure in helping others and helping the environment. Finally, he is very excited to become a content producer in Book Bears!
